
This Easy Baked Rice is a flavor-loaded, no guess cooking recipe for perfect, fluffy rice every time. It takes 5 minutes to combine rice, Lipton’s Onion Soup Mix, and butter together. One hour of bake time, fifteen minutes to rest, and ta-da you’re done! No clumps, no sticky globs, no boilovers…always comes out flawless!!!

WHAT TO SERVE WITH BAKED RICE
Baked rice will go with anything…anytime! Chicken, fish, beef, ANY veggie you can think of, any dish you can think of, even dessert…(rice pudding). Incorporate cooked ground sausage, beef, or turkey in the baked rice for a complete meal. Or make it a Meatless Monday meal and stirfry your favorite veggies and stir it all together.

4 INGREDIENT RECIPE
- Rice – I used brown for his dish but I anykind will do.
- Butter – real butter
- Chicken Broth – or any kind of broth!
- Onion Soup Mix – I use Lipton’s, I have tried others and I always go back to Lipton’s.

2 STEP BAKED RICE
STEP ONE… Put all ingredients in a heavy ovenproof pan. Cast Iron Ceramic is perfect or glass.
STEP TWO… Bake at 350 for an hour or until all the broth has absorbed and rice is golden.
PRO NOTES:
Cooking times will vary with the type of rice you use. White rice will not take as long to cook and Basmatic white or brown rice will take even less. I would check halfway through, 30 minutes, to check for doneness. Add some fresh snipped parsley for a bright, fresh flavor!
You can make any amount of rice you need just keep the ratios equal for best results.

INGREDIENT ADD-INS AND SUBSTITUTIONS:
Fresh, jarred, or sliced mushrooms are wonderful added to this baked rice. If using fresh…slice and saute in the pan before you add the rice and all the other ingredients. In addition to mushrooms, sauteed celery, onions, peppers, fresh herbs would be delicious.
Beef or veggie broth can be substituted for chicken. If you want to use cubed or paste boullion for the chicken broth remember to use the same amount of water as you would the canned broth.

LEFT OVER BAKED RICE
Leftover rice is one of the most useful food items in the fridge. Use is in soup, bean burritos, homemade fried rice! It also freezes well for meal enhancements later on.
The great thing about having a delicious, no-fail rice recipe in your cooking storehouse makes you better cook…no doubt. The rest of your meal might be so-so but you know the rice will always be a hit.

Easy Baked Rice
Ingredients
- 2 cups brown or white rice
- 1/2 cup real butter 1 stick
- 4 cup chicken broth
- 1 pkge Lipton Onion Soup Mix
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to an oven proof heavy pan or glass pan.
- Cook in the oven, with lid on or tightly sealed with foil, at 350° for approximately 1 hour.
- Let stand for about 5 minutes then fluff with fork. Add parsley, dill, cilantro, any fresh herb for a bright taste.
- Enjoy!
